Your Input Matters!
Help Us Create the Next Five-Year Recreation Plan
Oak Park Recreation is conducting a survey to establish priorities for the future development of our parks and recreation facilities, programs and services. We will use the information obtained in this survey to update our Oak Park Five-Year Recreation Master Plan. Your opinions and ideas matter. An important part of the planning process is receiving input from our residents to form our goals and objectives for the next five years. With this plan, we hope to enrich the future of our community and have a positive effect on our quality of life. Help us plan the facilities, the parks, and the programs that you and your family will enjoy!
To take our survey, visit Recreation Master Plan Survey. Thank you!
Occasionally, we close our facilities, cancel activities or events when we experience inclement weather. If you are ever in doubt on whether an event is cancelled or rescheduled, call our weather hotline at (248) 691-7418 for the latest updates.

Residents of all ages, from pre-school children through seniors, can participate in a variety of classes and activities. We offer family-friendly programs and activities. Youngsters can enjoy baseball, basketball, and flag football leagues, plus clinics that teach the fundamentals and help children to reach their potential. Individuals in all groups enjoy our beautiful municipal pool and putt-putt course from June through August.
We also coordinate annual events, such as Winterfest, Daddy Daughter Dance, Mayor's 5K Race, Independence Day Parade and Fun Fest, and the Halloween Boo Bash.
The mission of the Recreation Department is to enrich the quality of life for our diverse community while establishing a high standard of excellence in our programs, activities, parks and services.
